Meet Zeemp, The Social Web Map

What Is It?

We created the web map where users from all over the world will be able to find friends, local and global services through an interactive interface.

Click in the screenshot below for a detailed interface.

What was the challenge?

The main challenge was to design a virtual city that could serve as the avatar of each city on the planet in order to facilitate interaction between people and businesses around the globe.

The elements that characterize the design are made up of current concepts of preservation of nature through sinuous and innovative architectural forms. Thus, the city interface can house people and services on a global scale with a smooth and intuitive navigation for users.

How it works

Zeemp will help you to discover the best websites, blogs and products on the Web. We are working very hard to launch a big social web map where you’ll be able to follow your friends and brands you like. The most followed services and users will have a prominent position on the city map.

Users click in a picture on the map to read a profile.

There are location filters by city or country and categories.

How You Can Help

You deserve a great experience, so we’re going to launch when is ready, perhaps in the end of April. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think.

You should follow us on Twitter to make sure that you don’t miss the launch date.

How do you define …”the best”? What will be the criteria? It seems a hell of a good idea. Thanks for the feddback. AP

Hi Alexandre, users will be able to follow (bookmark) people and companies. So the most followed ones will appear in the first pages.

      Thanks so much. :)

I think it is a good way to try to organize the so many things on the Web. Will it pull out to the globe? So, I as the user can put what info I want and have it organized in this fashion. Very cool. I also had a thought, you could also create templates that users could add to in their own account. I have a few other ideas but having a landing page with this creative visualization is great.

      Thanks so much, Judith.

We really appreciate your comment and suggestions. Yes, you will be able to filter your city, but you can choose the global filter too. So you can browse the best hotels in the globe or in your city, for example.

Feel free to suggest more ideas, they are more than welcome. :)

    Hi Paulo ,

This looks like a very interesting concept – and am certain that it will help put many businesses on the map . However , my skepticism forces me to ask : How safe will something like this be in terms of Identity Theft as well as : exposing one’s Location to just about anyone out there can lead to certain dangers ( as you are aware of – there are minors out there who will be exposed , should they decide to use this app ) – my concern is this : how can a user protect the details of their location from every psychotic sociopath out there ?

I am always somewhat leery of apps which put out too much information about one’s personal identity and location out there for the world to gain access to . I guess being a New Yorker all my life forces me to think this way .

However , I believe it will have its benefits and its pitfalls . The overall factor is : everything should e used wisely – and parents need to also be alert as to what their children are exposing themselves to . Maybe a feature such as a parent protected password would be a good idea ? hmmmm….just a thought :) Regardless, I do wish you much future successs with this app , Im sure it will be utilised by many out there in the cybersphere !

@mia Thanks so much for the suggestions. The location feature will be optional and it will be limited to city and country. Glad you liked it. :)
